Restaurants should welcome KOLs freely to increase online traffic, but things might not always work out and sometimes it may be counterproductive.

A Tuen Mun sliced noodle shop originally offered discounted prices to students, stating that as long as they wore school uniforms, they could enjoy a $2 discount. However, a young couple was accused of pretending to be students after eating and was even put on trial by the store owner, causing a series of unpleasant incidents.

Later, the youtuber with about 30,000 fans went to the restaurant to taste food, but he was accused of charging advertising fees to clean up the shop’s image. Internet people commented “Didn’t even sit down and already praising the workers being polite, and kept saying the noodles are delicious”, which caused a great repercussion.

However, the Youtuber denied receiving the fees, and some internet people believed that the boss would change after learning something and gaining wisdom, commented “Should improve service attitude”.
