Tsuen Wan’s famous chicken pot restaurant weekend dinner period only seats four or five tables

Tsuen Wan’s famous chicken pot restaurant was once known as Hong Kong’s must-eat delicacy.  In the past, it was always packed with seats.  However, when a customer recently visited at 6:10 pm, he found that he was the only customer at the round table in the shop, and there were only four or five tables of customers at other booth seats.  The customer said in a social media group that he was surprised by the deserted scene in the shop, and sighing that Hong Kong’s restaurants were able to withstand the epidemic, but they seemed unable to withstand the trend of people going north for spending This post sparked heated discussions on the internet.  Some people mentioned that hot pot can be enjoyed at a lower price in mainland China, while others said they would rather spend money in Hong Kong than go north.   This reflects the different views of Hong Kong citizens on spending choices, as well as the challenges faced by local restaurants.
