The Lucky Plaza located on Wang Pok Street, Sha Tin has gone through more than 40 years of ups and downs.  Chinachem Group has invested HK$500 million in a comprehensive optimization project since 2021.  The project was finally completed at the beginning of this year, turning the mall into a brand new “trendy food paradise”, welcoming the young customers with a brand new style.  During the summer holiday, the mall invested around one million dollar in publicity and launched local illustration character theme “Meow Lucky Cats collections” to attract young people.  This is expected to drive spending growth by more than 10% and traffic by more than 20% during the opening period.

Right now the mall’s occupancy rate exceeds 80%, the occupancy rate for catering shops is nearly 100%.  The mall has introduced many young, mid-priced and popular catering brands, including many mainland brands such as “Nong Geng Ji” and the popular hand-crank tea shop “Mixue Ice Cream & Tea “.  Chinachem Asset Management Deputy Director of Leasing Joseph Leung believes that because Lucky Plaza is connected to the MTR station, it is convenient for HK citizens and mainland tourists to park or transfer to the MTR, which gives the mall a geographical advantage.
