The Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners executive director Mr. Caspar Tsui, suggest the government can announce upcoming large-scale events at least two quarters in advance so that the industry has sufficient time to prepare relevant ticket packages and promotion strategies. This recommendation can ensure that hotels, catering, retail and other related industries can coordinate with travel agencies and other service providers in a timely manner to jointly develop routes and packages that attract tourists.
Hong Kong Federation of Restaurants & Related Trades Chairman Mr. Winston Yeung also suggests the government should reshape Hong Kong’s nightlife and follow the example of Macau to provide free shuttle bus services to enhance Hong Kong’s attractiveness as a tourist destination. These measures will help enhance the vitality of Hong Kong’s nighttime economy and bring more opportunities to the tourism industry.
