After the pandemic, Hong Kong citizens have increased their spending going up north, which has had a certain impact on the local catering industry.  Sham Tseng Chan Kee Roast Goose has six branches in Hong Kong.  The Whampoa branch posted a “closing notice”, wrote “Take care, see you again”, and it has ceased business on August 31.  Also, the Ki Lung tea restaurant, which distributed meals to the elderly and the needy in Sham Shui Po, also closed its branch on the same day and only maintained its Prince Edward branch.  Large fast food chain KFC branch in Shek Lei Shopping Center was closed on August 25.  This series of closure news has aroused public concern and made people worry about whether there will be a wave of chain restaurant closures.
